Simply Optical Quilt Pattern! (Friday Foto Fun #300)

Introducing Simply Optical!  This was September's Simply quilt that I'm a bit late blogging about.  This quilt top minus the border was made in just under 4.5 hours!  The quilt used 8 fat quarters and 2.875yards of background.

I had to change the original design a bit because I was not going to be able to do the quilt with the sashing in the required time limit, so I made the border wider, but no sashing.  This quilt top uses a ton of strip piecing cut into quarter square triangles to make the blocks!  I absolutely recommend that you use the Creative Grids Quarter Square Triangle Ruler.  You can actually rotate the blocks to make new and fun shapes, but I liked what I ended up with a lot!  I'm doing preorders on the pattern, so you don't need to remember to come back to get it if you aren't a Patreon Subscriber!   If you want the pattern you can join Patreon and get it at the $5 subscription level or higher and you'll have access to Simply Stripes now and get Simply Optical next month (or you can pre-order the pattern now and I'll email you the download link when it releases on October 20th)!
