Mini Magda Wristlet!

I made the most darling little wristlet this last weekend for August’s Bag Day!  After the time-consuming Voyage Handbag last month, I picked an itty bitty wristlet this month and finished it just under 2.5 hours!  This is the Mini Magda by Oro Rosa Patterns!

My NYC Blog Hop (Friday Foto Fun #241)

Happy Friday!!!  Today is my stop on the My NYC Blog Hop!  My NYC is a new fabric line from Gotham Quilts!  I actually visited Gotham Quilts the last time I was in NYC (they were in the midst of moving to their current location).  It’s a great shop and I highly recommend checking them out!  The fabric collection is super cute and has many...

Long Time Gone BOM WIP

This past weekend I got the bug to work on some really OLD work-in-progress (WIP) projects.  The Long Time Gone BOM is a pattern by Jen Kingwell and the block of the month was run by my friend and shop owner Pam Selkirk of Serendipity Woods. I finished Month 7 of 13ish months.

Voyage Handbag (Friday Foto Fun #240)

Happy Friday!  Today I’m finally sharing the Voyage Handbag that took 3 weekend sewing streams to complete for an overall total of about 11 hours.  It was so worth it for the final bag and I’m so happy how it turned out!

Simply Brickwork Quilt Pattern!

Introducing Simply Brickwork! This quilt top was made in about 2.5 hours earlier this month, the fastest Simply Quilt so far!  This is the seventh Simply Quilt of the year and it’s great for showing off big prints.

Simple Plus Block Quilt (Friday Foto Fun #239)

A few weeks ago, I got a large fat 16th bundle of Tana Lawn Liberty fabric.  Since the fabric is wider than normal width of fabric, the fat 16ths are about 9″x13″.  I got a rainbow bundle of 100 fat 16ths and I’ve added 10 additional prints to the bundle to make this epic quilt.

Longarming Mini Series – My Favorite Batting

For as long as I’ve been blogging, I haven’t ever talked about batting, much less my favorite batting.  When I started quilting, I picked up all sorts of different batting from Hancock Fabrics (RIP), Joanns, SR Harris, etc.  I didn’t really understand the differences between poly, cotton, wool, etc. I’m not going to go into the specifics of each type today, but I will tell...

Longarming Mini Series – Picking a Pantograph

As I’m catching up on longarming all of the quilt tops that I made while my machine was in storage, I realized there are quite a few things that I haven’t talked about on the blog about longarming.  Prepping your quilt for the longarmer is all detailed on the Longarm Quilting Services page, but for the pantograph, I have the customer select whichever one they...
