#365DaysOfArtPBQChallenge Week 33, Exercises 225-231
This year is going by so fast! I can't believe it's time for Week 33 of the 365 Days Of Art Challenge! The link up at the bottom of the post will be open all year so be sure to check back to see what other fellow creatives have made with this week's exercises. Read more about the challenge and catch up on all the previous weeks!
Without further ado, here are my 7 for this week… the good, bad, and ugly!
#225 Fill in the tree with autumn leaves. I used watercolor to make leaves. This started out a little shaky but the more leaves I added the prettier it got. Can you tell which leaves were pre-printed? I think it's harder to tell now, so that makes me happy that my leaves are at least hiding the pre-printed ones.
#226 What did you love to draw when you were a child? I LOVED bubble letters in all sorts of styles. I would doodle letters for classes or just my name over and over again in the margins. It's so much fun!
#227 Draw some hairstyles which you observed today, from memory. I work in a manufacturing plant and most the hairstyles I see are under bump caps! I really only remembered one of the girls from work, so I added in my husband's and my own hairstyles!
#228 What activities are you most proud of so far? Why? I really love the designing exercises and I love exercises that I filled in shapes with free motion doodles. I'm really seeing myself improve on understanding my style of filling spaces and that is directly translatable to quilting. I also notice that it doesn't take me nearly as long to figure out what I want to do.
#229 Today, share some of your artwork with someone. This could be online, or in real life. Ask them what they like about your artwork. Write what they say here. Well, what do you guys think? I post each week to keep myself accountable, so I really should thank you for looking at my sometimes okay artwork! I think this is really helping my designing skills.
#230 Explore colors that look good together. Fill in the boxes with colors that you think will work well as a group. This exercise has been repeated several times, but I seem to come up with different combinations each time. I also forget that the lime green photographs yellow, so it looks different in real life. I am trying my hardest to include some neutral colors that are not black, but it's rather difficult for me.
#231 Color in between the wavy lines. Remember I'm trying to add more neutral colors. I think this is the most brown that I've used in a coloring exercise and I think it doesn't look half bad. I can't believe I'm saying that. I still don't think I can add brown to my normal color palette on a regular basis, but it's interesting to know that the finished product still looks good.
Now that we've all had a good chuckle and/or grimace, I encourage you to join in the fun and expand your creative horizons too!

What do I think? I think you’ve done a super job of keeping up on this. I’ll pick mine back up someday, but it’s kind of fallen by the wayside in all the other projects I’ve had going on. I have enjoyed reading your posts and seeing you continue to progress!
I love the job that you have been doing. Like Wendy, I am a bit behind. One week I will get back into the groove. There is always something interesting in each weeks exercise and your interpretation of it. This week – it is hard to tell which leaves were pre-printed – great job!
