Grandma above all (Friday Foto Fun #91)

Well, saying this was an eventful week is the understatement of the year.  On Tuesday, my husband and I made an emergency trip down to Dallas as we got photos via text that looked like a horror film from my grandma's apartment.  It turns out as you get older, there is a risk of varicose veins bursting and losing a lot of blood.  Thankfully my grandma is fine, but it reminded me of the very first quilt I gave away!

This purple disappearing nine patch quilt was gifted to my grandma about 3 years ago.  No one in my family quilted before me, and I had to learn how on my own.  Since then, I've been working through giving my family members quilts of their own.  But Grandma will always come first.

Back to the present day, after a night at the hospital, my Grandma's out and doing really well!  She even entertained a selfie with me yesterday! It was such a scare that we were going to lose her, but I'm happy she'll be around a little longer.

Hopefully, you had a less eventful week!
