Finish It Friday Foto Fun #146
Happy Friday! This week has been the worst week of internet since... well... ever. Hopefully, it'll be fixed before tomorrow, otherwise, I won't be able to finish my Waterlily Tote on stream. I had to cut my Twitch stream short last Saturday because the internet cut and it's been unstable since! We got a new router and modem with no luck since it turns out that Comcast is upgrading stuff on their end. So what I was able to do this week is finish off a few quilts that REALLY needed to be finished.
This first quilt I want to share was from the 2018 Monthly Color Challenge. If you weren't a reader back then, it was the year that I (along with Patterns By Jen and Dizzy Quilter) made a block design each month. I had finished the quilt I made with my 12 blocks, but I never got around to quilting and binding the quilt. I love rainbows and this quilt turned out super fun!
I also was able to get binding on another quilt that has been sitting pretty much finished without binding for over a year! This is my pineapple quilt that I made along with the Fat Quarter Shop last summer. I shared the quilt earlier, but I never showed an actual quilted version. This quilt was actually one of the last quilts that I spray basted and straight-line quilted before I got my longarm. I hated the straight-line quilting since I did it super loosely and decided to put it on the frame and just edge-to-edge quilt it on top of the straight-line quilting. It actually turned out pretty well and I'm glad to mark another project DONE!
As a reminder, if you are looking for someone to longarm your quilts before Christmas, I have a few spots open! Grab them while you can as time is running out! Check out my Longarm Quilting Services here.
What are your sewing plans this weekend? I'm going to hopefully finish up the Waterlily Tote and get some secret sewing done! I have lots of secret sewing these days and I can't wait until I'm able to share what I've been up to!

Internet woes – sigh. It’s great when it works, right?! I have a quiet weekend, I think, so likely just sewing. No finishes today – maybe next week!
I understand your frustration. After months of working from home and constant internet interruptions I finally have 90% success. Please check your internet speed. Mine has increased almost 400%! Since 2 internet linesmen (and 2 wonderful call technicians) worked on the problem. Wiring at pole exposed to weather because rubber “boot” exposed internet wiring, internet part replaced at pole, then second linesman put a booster on my line the next day as first linesman requested.
New internet lines installed 4 months ago stopped 500 feet from my house and went down side road past 10 new houses and farm business. Darn.
I received new modem yesterday that should fix wifi issue.
Do not give up. They will tell you there is no such thing as a signal booster at the pole. But I got one of those mythical parts and can now enjoy work and leisure internet at home.
I have had these problems for over 3 years. They are blaming it on all the people working and online school streaming. That is part of it but so is damage and old wiring.
Sorry this is so long.
