Circular Illusion Quilt Pattern!
I am so excited to share my newest pattern with you today! Introducing Circular Illusion! When looking at this quilt from a distance, it gives an optical illusion of circles. However, it looks like simple patchwork up close.
Circular Illusion is a beginner friendly pattern made with fat quarters or fat eighths and would look great using collections as well as scrappy fabric from your stash!
My favorite parts of this quilt are you get the unique, curved circular look while only using straight lines, and I was able to create the pattern so it is really easy and quick to finish!
I made this sample using Makower UK's Sakura line of fabric. It had vibrant colors that stand out against the background to really pop.
The pattern has instructions for baby, lap, twin, double/full, queen, and king sizes. The sample is a lap sized quilt, which is my go to size.
The quilt is quilted by Rhonda Walker of Olie&Evie with Modern Curves. I think it gives the quilt even more movement.
Grab a copy of the pattern from my Etsy or my Pattern Shop today!! I hope you love this quilt as much as I do!
This is a fantastic quilt! No wonder you’ve been excited about sharing this! Love it!
Thanks Wendy! I think this one is pretty rad 😉
Definitely!
Beautiful pattern! I really see the optical illusion there! I wonder if the illusion will still be there if we go scrappy?
It’ll still be there as long as you do more vibrant colors for the prints. If you put muted colors with white, it’ll get lost a little bit. 🙂
I love this pattern and love the circular effect with all straight edges. You used one of my new favorite quilting designs too! Just perfect.
Thanks Kathleen! 🙂 It’s such a fun pattern to make, I’m glad you love it! <3
