100th Blog Post! (Friday Foto Fun #12)

Today is a huge milestone for me since it’s my 100th blog post!  That’s so exciting! I have been blogging for about a year and a half, and it started out really slowly before I hit my stride.  For everyone that’s been reading since then (Hi, family!), thanks so much for joining me on this journey thus far!  This week at home has been pretty...

2018 Planning Party

Yvonne at Quilting Jet Girl is hosting this year’s planning party! I figured this would be a great way for me to detail out my goals for the upcoming year. Looking back through my blog posts for my 2017 goals, the only tangible goal I documented was releasing 4 patterns this year.  I’m happy to say that I achieved that goal, and I would like...

TGIFF!!! (Friday Foto Fun #11)

This week’s edition of Friday Foto Fun is extra special since I’m hosting Thank Goodness It’s Finished Friday!!!  I can’t wait to see everyone’s finishes this week on the last Friday before Christmas! My finish this week is my Tabby Road Quilt!  This amazingly original name comes from Tula Pink’s Tabby Road fabric line which is used in this quilt!

Introducing the 2018 Monthly Color Challenge!

So what exactly is this challenge? The challenge is to make something in a specific color designated for the month, either a quilt block or something else. Jen will be hosting a link up party at Patterns by Jen for the last week of the month.  Share a photo of your project for the month, and you will be entered into the drawing for a prize.  Jen will...

10 more days till Christmas! (Friday Foto Fun #10)

Is it too late to finally put decorations out around the house?  Our house is decoration-less at the moment and it feels more like January…cold and not very festive! I feel like I’m in denial that Christmas is coming.  I haven’t really worked on any of my Christmas-y projects this fall except the I Wish You a Merry QAL quilt.  Maybe next year right?!  Anyways…I...

Tru Inspiration! (Friday Foto Fun #9)

This week I was traveling for work in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and I stayed at Tru, a new Hilton brand family hotel. It’s a really trendy hipster more affordable hotel.  I saw inspiration for quilts everywhere with all the bright colors and designs throughout the hotel.  My favorite was this amazing wallpaper.  I actually want to make this into a quilt! (Who would have guessed?  It...

I Wish You A Merry QAL – Finished Quilt Top

I’m so proud to present my finished quilt top!  I added basic sashing and a border to my quilt blocks!  Since I designed block 5, I decided to put the block front and center. Whenever there is sashing, having cornerstones will make sure the quilt gets aligned properly. My quilt finishes at 50″x64″.

I Wish You A Merry QAL Block 12!

Last Block!  Can you believe that we are all finished?!  It seems like we just started this journey and now the 12th and final block is released.  Laura Piland from Slice of Pi Quilts designed this Christmas Lights Block.  You can get the pattern for this block on her blog post.  Be sure to check out my final quilt top blog post too! This block...

Last Month of 2017! (Friday Foto Fun #8)

Snowed in October, but high of 50 on Sunday?! I’ll take it!  This was my first full week at home in awhile, and it was so productive!  Plus I released my latest pattern this past Tuesday, and I got shout out from Kate Spain, how cool!  I am so happy I got to meet her last QuiltCon even though I completely fan-girled. Anyway, on to...
