Fall Into A QAL – Finished Quilt!
I think I found my new favorite quilting method. Wavy lines! It is so fun and so fast!

I was tempted to try free motion quilting on this quilt as I did with the I Wish You A Merry QAL quilt, but I honestly ran out of time with prepping for Quilt Market. Plus I should have been doing quilt as you go if I wanted to do custom free motion quilting.
The wavy lines at first looked really bad. But once I kept going, the lines started to look intentionally wavy and created a fun little grid that ebbed and flowed with the lines.

It looks great and that wavy line is really a great technique. I have done it without doing QAYG and wonder why you think you should? Is it to avoid basting (which I totally get!
Lovely!! My QAG blocks are sewn in rows, but the rows are not assembled yet. I’m leaving in the morning for a work trip that has me out through Saturday; I’m not sure I’ll make the deadline but I’m going to try! Looking forward to 2019!
