2019 Planning Party
Yvonne at Quilting Jet Girl is hosting this year's planning party again! I figured this would be a great way for me to detail out my goals for the upcoming year.
Looking back through my blog posts for my 2018 goals, I'm happy to report that I hit most of my Powered By Quilting goals but came up short on my personal sewing and fitness goals. I've released 6 patterns this year without counting the 2018 Monthly Color Challenge quilt pattern. I've kept up blogging at least 3 times a week all year long and sometimes more! Let's take a look at my 2019 Goals!
Powered By Quilting Goals:
- Release at least 6 full patterns this year, so approximately once a quarter.
- I'll have 2 patterns that will be re-released this year after the set time after the magazine releases!
- Blog 2 times a week
- Tuesday/Friday every week!
- I decided that 2 times a week is actually best for my schedule.
- Submit quilt designs for both the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 Island Batik Catalogs.
- Submit quilt designs to magazines every other month.
- Every month last year was not feasible!
- Host more sew alongs this year, starting with Hidden Stars!
Personal Sewing Goals:
- Sew more for FUN!
- I have so many projects I've started that aren't finished. I'd love to be able to finish more than I start this year!
- Sewing more fabric than I buy.
- Honestly, this is probably not going to happen, but I at least want to make a conscious effort to stop hoarding!
- Intentional Free Motion Quilting practice on a regular basis.
Personal Fitness Goals:
- Lift 2x a week.
- I would add in running if I had more time, but we'll see.
Mental Goals:
- Be kind to myself.
- Understand that I am doing the best I can right now.
- Don't get caught up comparing myself to others.
My accountability partner? YOU, my readers! You probably didn't realize you play an important role in keeping me on track! So I'd really like to thank everyone who reads my blog and cheers me on. I need to restart my plans part of the Friday Foto Fun posts because I really try to be responsible and complete what I say I will do each week. The last few months have gotten away from me.
