2020 Planning Party
Yvonne at Quilting Jet Girl is hosting this year's planning party again! I figured this would be a great way for me to detail out my goals for the upcoming year.
Looking back through my blog posts for my 2019 goals, I'm happy to report that I hit most of my Powered By Quilting goals but came up short on my personal sewing and fitness goals. I've released 7+ quilt patterns this year and I've been picked up by distributors! But I missed a few weeks of blogging due to the move to New Mexico and am only now getting back on track! Let's take a look at my 2020 Goals!
This year's goals will be a little different than in years past. I think for my Powered By Quilting goals, I typically had a number of patterns that I wanted to release and submittals that I wanted to do. I'm changing it up to be my personal goals with Powered By Quilting goals mixed together.
- Sew more fabric that I am purchasing. Honestly this SHOULD be achievable since I don't purchase THAT much fabric anymore. However, my stash is giving me anxiety when I have had to move it state to state in the moves and even room to room. But I have a plan... see number 2.
- Stream on Twitch. Oh yeah... I am going to be sewing my stash and making bags on Twitch. What is Twitch? Twitch is a streaming platform and I will be live streaming at least 2 weekends out of the month: one weekend sewing a bag and a second-weekend sewing a quick "Quilt in a Day" with my existing stash.
- Health and Wellness is priority #1. So I get the irony that this is number 3 on my list, but this is something that I will need to prioritize in every aspect. When I am healthy and feel better, everything in my life is just happier and better. So I'm going to make a concerted effort to make this a priority rather than the first thing that gets skipped.
Why are there no goals on patterns getting released? Well, I had mentioned that I have a signature collection releasing with Island Batik at Spring Market which means I will have at least 3 new patterns to go along with the collection! I also have a signature collection in the FALL with another 3 patterns. I will easily have 6 new patterns being released next year including a new Block of the Month. This is not including the quilt in the day patterns that I will be sewing on Twitch and releasing after the fact EACH MONTH! Look for my Patreon announcement in the future to get in on getting all of my upcoming patterns as they release!
So next year has "less" goals, but definitely LOTs happening with a big dose of ME! I can't wait to share everything I have planned for next year!

I must have missed that you moved to New Mexico while I was traveling this summer; we visit Albuquerque a lot as my in laws live there and I rather love the state and hope you do, too! Big things are in store this year and I wish you a lot of joy and fun in 2020. 🙂
Wow! You have great goals and good luck this year. You have done really well and I am sure you will soon get your self car back in control – its hard to do with moves and a job change.
Three is such a good number of goals. You can totally crush this year without spreading yourself too thin 🙂
